ABOUT MEBiographyJoanna grew up in the heart of Texas, back in the woods, with lots of room to run around the trees and daydream. She was encouraged in the arts by her parents and found her passion at a young age. She is a graduate TAMUCC with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Minor in Art History. While Joanna's strongest passion in the arts has been drawing and painting, she also enjoys exploring metalwork, ceramics and photography. She has been featured in exhibitions around the state of Texas and has been included in several national exhibitions.

PORTFOLIORecent ProjectsMy 'Animal Alphabet' series started as an excuse to draw a cat but quickly became a full blown project after realizing my nieces and nephews learn their alphabet in a similar fashion with flash cards.
I have been working on this series for about 3 years now. Researching animals that you might not particularly find in a child's alphabet book has been a fun challenge as well as pushing myself to find a new way to present the Art Nouveau border style. |

Exploring Texas
Since the pandemic ruined all travel plans for 2020, I have been going through all of my pictures from old hiking and camping trips. Here are some from our camping adventure in Palo Duro Canyon here in Texas. I'm hoping to get them all organized and maybe even make a book (even if just for myself).
